Chairperson - Peadar Carpenter

Peadar joined the civil service in 1978 and has worked in the Department of Social Welfare; Posts and Telegraphs; Courts and the Department of Justice. He began working in the Department of Foreign Affairs in 1990 and is currently working in the Anglo Irish Division.
Peadar has had an active involvement in civil service trade union affairs and was chairman of the Department of Justice branch of the PSEU during the 1980s. He was a member of the PSEU Executive Committee for nine years from 1990 to 1999. He has served on the Foreign Affairs branch of the AHCPS since 1999 and has been a member of the Executive Committee since 2005.
Vice-Chairperson - Tom Allen

Tom joined the civil service in 1975 and has worked in the Departments of Agriculture; Enterprise and Employment; Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs. He has been working in the Meath District of the Revenue Commissioners since early 2008.
Tom has been actively involved in civil service trade union affairs. He was Chairman of the Department of Agriculture branch of the PSEU during the 1980s/1990s. He was a member of the PSEU Executive Committee for many years, serving as Vice President and President of the union. He served on both the Agriculture and CRAGA branches of the AHCPS and has been a member of the Executive Committee since 2004.
