MANAGING IN A VIRTUAL LANDSCAPE – A programme of supports for AHCPS Members

Dear Colleagues,

Over the past two years, the Association has organised a number of events on topics of relevance and interest to our members. These events have proven to be very popular and the Association has agreed to continue to organise such events on an ongoing basis.

While the current Covid-19 crisis means that traditional seminar events are not possible,  we are delighted to be able to bring to members a programme of online events over the coming months on the topic of ‘Managing in a Virtual Landscape’.

The programme will be provided by Roffey Park Institute, with whom we have worked successfully in the recent past, and will have two distinct elements:

  1. Managing in a Virtual Landscape Programme:  This will be a modular programme for up to 40 participants – over 4 x 90 minute sessions which will address the main challenges faced by AHCPS members in operating in the current remote working environment. The first module will establish the main areas of current concern to members. The following 2 sessions will consist of development and learning workshops on the two most relevant topics emerging and a final plenary session will share participants’ experience of putting into practice the identified skills and solutions.

  2. The Virtual Manager Highlights Series: This will be a series of 3 distinct 90 minute webinars for up to 100 participants each – on specific aspects of operating in a virtual management landscape.

The Association would now like to invite branches to nominate participants for programme number 1 above:  Managing in a Virtual Landscape.  It is anticipated that the first session will take place on Wednesday 27th May.

Please forward the names and contact details of nominees for programme 1  to jlacey@ahcps.ie by 12pm this Friday 22nd May.

Details in relation to the series of webinars will be provided at a later date.

Yours sincerely

Ciaran Rohan

General Secretary
