In accordance with the Safety and Health at Work General Applications Regulations 2007, all Civil Servants using a Visual Display Unit (VDU) as part of their work are entitled to regular free eye tests. Under Circular 3/94, officers under the age of 40 years are entitled to an eye test every five years, and officers over the age of 40 years are entitled to an eye test every two years.
